Starting Up

In March, 2024, residents adopted a Framework (also called bylaws) governing the purposes, structure, and processes of the Association.

Residents also elected a 9-member Residents Council at that time.

Rights of Resident Councils are regulated by the California Department of Social Services.

Val Ohanian

Val is a homeopathic and shamanic practitioner who also bicycles, writes, and aspires to be a gardener of plants and energies.

Fred Rothenberg

Fred came to Enso from Ojai where he did a lot of volunteering. Plans to do the same here while he tries to keep up with (his wife) Jackie.

Paul Jeschke

Paul is a retired print and television reporter who has interviewed newsmakers ranging from presidents to prostitutes. He and his wife, Anne, moved to Enso from Muir Beach.

Jim Lohr

Jim likes working out, listening to classic rock, discovering new music, cooking and watching sports. He also enjoys making his grandchildren laugh and misses riding his motorcycle!

Jeanne Ferrante

Jeanne’s professional background is mathematics, computer science and engineering. After retiring from UC San Diego, she enriches her life with theater, improv, and walking/hiking.

Scott Anderson

1st love: science + 2nd love: yoga in all its manifestations = “yoga science.” Buddha was a model yogi-scientist.

Peter Sandmann

Peter is a former collaborative lawyer who wants to help Enso be everything it promises to be– a peaceful, relaxing, stress-free place that supports healthy activities, friendly relationships, and growth while aging.

Debbie Faigenbaum

Debbie is a former educator, pet parent (Charlie, dog; Mouse, cat), jazz aficionado, long time qigong practitioner. 

Most often you will find her out walking.

Gene Alexander

Gene Alexander is interested in tai chi, poetry, philosophy, and psychoanalysis.
